La galería Blanca Soto nace en diciembre de 2000. Desde su fundación ha desarrollado una importante labor de apoyo al arte joven y emergente tanto de carácter nacional como internacional.

Línea artística:

Desde su apertura, Blanca Soto Arte apuesta por la popularización de un arte emergente muy activo y de gran calidad creativa. Los artistas representados utilizan como medio de expresión las diferentes disciplinas, ya sea pintura, escultura, dibujo, nuevas tecnologías, vídeo y fotografía, caracterizándose por las muestras instalativas que distinguen cada proyecto individual o colectivo expuesto tanto en su complejidad discursiva como en su presentación espacial. El objetivo es mostrar la diversidad de puntos de vista y la riqueza de planteamientos que existen en el arte contemporáneo actual.

Con el propósito de ampliar fronteras e intensificar las ya estrechas relaciones con el interesante espectro cultural latinoamericano, el listado de artistas representados  siempre ha contado con creadores del ámbito latino que vienen a complementar la habitual programación de artistas Iberoamericanos , e Internacionales en general .

Desde sus comienzos la relación directa, intensa y enriquecedora con los artistas ha generado una colaboración que ha permitido la realización de multitud de actividades tanto dentro del espacio de la galería como fuera de ella, ya se trate de performances, happenings o exposiciones comisariadas tanto por los propios artistas como por curadores independientes.

La galería participa en ferias internacionales de arte contemporáneo de reconocido prestigio, bien en el panorama europeo como Art Cologne y Kunstköln en Alemania o Balêlatina en Basilea, Suiza; o bien en ferias dedicadas en su mayor parte al arte latinoamericano como Arteba Buenos Aires y Pinta Londres y Nueva York, además de distintas incursiones en el panorama anglosajón con sucesivas participaciones en Scope Miami o en ferias especializadas como DIVA Art Fair NY. Ferias Nacionales: Estampa, Just Madrid, Art Madrid, Casa Arte, Arte Santander etc. Participa en Photoespaña, y en la Bienal Miradas de Mujeres y Jugada a 3 Bandas.

En los últimos tiempos las aportaciones de comisarios independientes se han hecho habituales en la programación desarrollada por la galería, donde se han realizado proyectos curatoriales encaminados a enriquecer la programación habitual con exposiciones de tesis en las que han participado artistas internacionales que nunca antes habían expuesto en nuestro país.

Since its opening, Blanca Soto art advocated the popularizing of a very active emerging art and high creative quality. The represented artists use different disciplines as a means of expression, whether it be painting, sculpture, drawing, new technologies, video and photography, characterized by installation samples that distinguish each individual project or collective, exposed both in its discursive complexity and presentation space. The objective is to show the diversity of perspectives and richness of approaches that exist in contemporary art.

In order to expand borders and intensify the already close relations with the interesting American cultural spectrum, the list of artists represented  has joined the Latin field that complement the regular programming of  iberoamericans and international artists in general.

Since its beginnings, the direct, intense and rewarding relationship with the artists has created a partnership that has enabled the realization of a multitude of activities both within the space of the gallery and beyond, whether of performances, happenings and exhibitions curated by the artists themselves and by independent curators.

The Gallery has participated in international contemporary art fairs of recognized prestige in the European landscape such as Art Cologne and Kunstköln in Germany or Balêlatina in Basel, Switzerland; or in fairs devoted mostly to Latin American art such as Arteba Buenos Aires and Pinta London and New York, as well as various incursions in the Anglo-Saxon landscape with successive stakes at SCOPE Miami and New York, New York or specialized fairs such as DIVA Art Fair NY. . In recent times the input of independent curators have become commonplace in programming developed by the gallery, where curatorial projects have been undertaken aimed at enriching the regular programming with thesis exhibitions which were attended by international artists that have never before exhibited in our country.
